Experience

Rachel Nall began her freelance medical writing career in 2004 and is a former Group Editor at a healthcare custom publishing company. She pursued a nursing degree in 2013 to fulfill her mission to provide compassionate and quality care, and she found was able to combine her love of writing and educating patients. Her nursing and writing careers have taken her on many paths, including cardiac critical care nursing and earning her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in nurse anesthesia in 2018. She has also served as a research assistant on the Get Healthy Project, a multi-million dollar grant at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga supporting the severely and persistently mentally ill.

Rachel works as a CRNA where she provides anesthesia care across the lifespan, including pediatric anesthesia, with a primary focus on orthopedic anesthesia. She is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, where she is the Simulation Coordinator for the nurse anesthesia program. Rachel loves teaching, whether it's in-person or through her writing.

I love to demystify complicated healthcare topics and provide actionable steps readers can take to improve their health.
