She was previously the Health & Sex Editor for SheKnows Media, and has given a TEDx talk on bioethics and The Golden Girls.

Trust science and empirical research, but also trust yourself. So much of modern medicine and health care is the product of centuries of misogyny, racism, ageism, ableism, anti-LGBTQIA bias, and the stigmatization of mental illness. Empower yourself with accurate information, be your own advocate, and never stop asking questions.

Education

Elizabeth earned a PhD in Bioethics, an LLM in Migration Law, and a Master of Arts in International Security and Conflict Studies, all from Dublin City University (Ireland), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster.
