Dr. Andrea Braden is board-certified OBGYN and a leading expert in breastfeeding medicine. She is also the founder of Lybbie, a company driving advancements in technological innovations in breastfeeding support and maternal and infant health. Previously, Dr, Braden has served as adjunct assistant professor at the University of Connecticut and as associate professor at Emory University.

Dr. Braden is passionate about improving postpartum maternity care and breastfeeding practices for women of all backgrounds. She has worked closely with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) on developing guidelines for breastfeeding practices. Dr. Braden has been instrumental in advocating for inclusive and equitable care for trans patients as well in her field.

My favorite part about being a healthcare provider is the trust my patients have in me to walk with them through very vulnerable times in their lives. I am honored every time I am invited to be a part of their sacred moments, especially when it involves the transition into parenthood.

Education

Dr. Braden received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama with honors. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine. Dr. Braden completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
